Residency training plays a critical role in developing the next generation of physicians and strengthening the quality of healthcare systems. Access to structured academic resources, standardized assessments, and international educational benchmarks is essential for maintaining high standards in postgraduate medical education.
The American College of Physicians (ACP) In-Training Exam is a globally recognized assessment used to evaluate the knowledge and progress of internal medicine residents. Participation in such international examinations provides residents with valuable benchmarking opportunities, strengthens academic performance, and enhances preparation for future board certification and clinical practice.
Supporting residency education in Palestinian teaching hospitals helps strengthen clinical training programs and contributes to the development of a highly skilled physician workforce.
Key Interventions
The project implemented several activities to strengthen academic preparation and support residents during the training year:
- Coverage of ACP In-Training Exam registration fees for eligible internal medicine residents
- Monthly and bi-monthly teleconference-based teaching sessions led by experienced physicians
