The Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA) is a U.S.–registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2013 by dedicated Palestinian-American healthcare professionals in the United States. Our distinctive structure positions the Washington, D.C. headquarters as the hub for strategic fundraising, donor relations, and advocacy, while our country office in Palestine manages on-the-ground program implementation.

PAMA addresses critical healthcare needs in Palestine through targeted medical assistance, humanitarian aid, and robust medical education initiatives. Position Summary:

The Donor Relations Coordinator will build and nurture strong relationships with mid-level donors to enhance donor retention, satisfaction, and long-term support. This role involves managing donor communications, stewardship activities, and ensuring accurate donor data management to foster a sustainable giving culture at the organization. This is a hybrid role with a strong emphasis on donor stewardship supported by CRM and cross-functional coordination responsibilities.

This role is ideal for someone who is both relationship-driven and detail-oriented, and who is motivated to connect donor support directly to meaningful healthcare impact.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Donor Stewardship & Engagement
  • Build and manage relationships with mid-level and major donors through personalized communication, regular touchpoints, and custom stewardship plans.
  • Coordinate and execute donor acknowledgment processes, ensuring timely and accurate gift receipts, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
  • Curate and distribute compelling donor communications, including updates on program outcomes, success stories, and campaign milestones.
  • Lead donor re-engagement strategies and targeted campaigns for lapsed or downgraded donors.
  1. CRM & Donor Data Systems Management
  • Serve as the primary internal owner of donor data within Salesforce (not a system administrator role, but responsible for day-to-day data integrity, reporting, and coordination with technical support as needed).
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records in Salesforce and other donation platforms.
  • Lead troubleshooting, coordination, and system updates related to PAMA’s donation and CRM platforms (including Salesforce, Classy, and others).
  • Support the development and upkeep of a streamlined, error-free, and efficient donor data management plan, with a focus on reducing duplication, ensuring data integrity, and aligning platforms across departments.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Programs teams to ensure alignment between donor records and financial documentation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to PAMA’s donation processing workflows and recordkeeping systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and partner with technical consultants as needed to ensure long-term system health and sustainability.
  1. Program-Related Individual Sponsorship
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and project sponsors.
  • Track donor-funded initiatives within these portfolios, ensuring timely updates, accurate data, and compelling reporting back to donors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, International Development, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in donor relations
  • Strong CRM skills (Salesforce preferred) with demonstrated experience in data quality and reporting.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize programmatic data and translate it into compelling donor-facing content.
  • Proven project coordination skills and ability to work across departments.
  • Familiarity with medical, humanitarian, or Middle East-focused nonprofit work is a plus.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Some travel required for donor events or coordination meetings.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours, depending on campaign needs or mission timelines.
  • Collaborates closely with staff across Programs, Communications, and Finance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
